So excited to share my seedling success! I planted sweet onions, purple onions, galic, and red potatos and all have now begun to sprout. The purple onions were the last to peek out of the soil but after a good rainstorm last night they joined their yellow onion friends on the journey to table.

Hoping this cheers up some of my friends who are stuck up north in the cold and snow. thumbup spring is on it's way and here's the proof:

Mmmm, its only feb 1st hard to believe you can think of starting to plant. I hope you enjoy all your sprouts, I can't get things going till at least mid April.

Tamara you have snow all the way through May??? Yuck! I think I'd have to move. I was a fan of snow when I was a kid but it's so much work when you have to drive and work and dig out of it all the time. Do you enjoy the snow despite the delay in planting?

Wonderful!

We cannot plant outside here until around Mother's Day - our last frost date is May 15th. Seems so very far away, as we sit inside today while it snows and sleets miserably.

I love the snow, even with the shovelling and hard driving. I start thinking of starting things inside in april so we can plant in May. I wouldn't plant any annuals or veggies till after the May long weekend. Usually the last weekend in May.

We get snow from October through May. We can plant after the full moon in June and keep our fingers crossed, we had frost last year every single month, so it was a bad harvest.

I like the first few snows but it gets old quite fast when you see it 8 months out of a year haha
