I have no idea what the lady used this for,, I don't even know what it's called. The garage sale was right across the street from me For $5 I picked up this oval shaped heavy pot/basin? Don't know
But I knew I liked it!
What attracted me was the size and the motif painted on it. leaning toward an Asian theme of birds and
flowers of light pinks, yellow, white, the birds on it are in beautiful flight.
I planted Vinca in it knowing it was on the south/west side of the house and would get plenty of sun. The picture doesn't show how large and deep it is, it actually took 2 pounds of pebbles, and 6 lbs of soil to fill it. Even that surprised
me I moved the garden Arch to the front yard,, some of you will remember I had it at the other house entering my sitting place rock garden where my fairy's lived. Yep I have placed some fairy's here as well Don't know if you can see them or not they are behind the bench sitting amoung the low
growing sedum and some lavander.
Any way,,, If for no other reason garage sales sure can stimulate creativity for container plants
you'd be surprise what you may find to plant
flowers in!
Hopefully By mid July the arch will be full,, I have bluecrown passion
flower on one side and Clematis on the other side I can't wait for the two to fill up the arch!
