Ya know Cindy--I vote we let that "I wonder" alone----we will let "sleeping cats lie" so to speak--

But if ya really want an answer--I think "unusual animals" just know to seek you out--- lol

Nighty night everyone---- wavy

I know, right? Too bad DH won't allow a dog until we have a place with a yard. That will not be anytime in the near future. It's okay though, if I really wanted to my brother would let me take his dog running.

Cindy, all of our pets have been more on the dumb side, what does that say about us?

I couldn't handle a dumb animal for long. They wouldn't survive here.
Good night all. I'm heading towards my pillow early.

I know.....seems like the older we get the more complicated life (health) is. I hadn't hardly had a headache in 5 years til I got this stupid bone marrow disease...now I have had one for 2 months. Can't wait to get this taken care of, but my brother told me the bone marrow biopsy hurt like hell, so that part I am not looking forward to. nervous

Spartacus woke me up at 3am attacking my feet that were hanging off the recliner. I covered them up with a blanket then he attacked my arms...covered them up...then he attacked my face....covered it up and almost smothered while he attacked the leather recliner. Had to get the spray bottle to make him stop, but he thought it was a game....so I have been up since 3am. So far this morning he has managed to open a bag of pinto beans and spill them all over the kitchen floor. Do they make valium for cats????

Well while I hate the alternative, this getting older sucks big time as well---I got up w/ said headache this morning at 3--(gee we coulda talked) so at 4:30 I went to sleep in another bed---now I do not have all fo the headache just part of it--- rolz

Sucks, but the alternative sucks worse......I'm happy to be alive, but sometimes I think it's only for Rachel and Brennan and my parents.

I'm happy with my car, but it's still pretty new. My body is aging faster than I am, but I do what I can to stall it. Well, good morning! Cindy, I don't know how you can handle that cat. Crazy kitten, can't Lola put him in his place? Sparta is a him, right? Busy day for me today but I have a little longer before I need to get started.

Black is too hot. And if I'm given an SUV, I want free gas for life too.
I am cleaning house today. Mostly the treehouse. My older son is coming to visit tomorrow and I plan on working him to the bone. But meanwhile I need to tote up bedding and such and fill the fridge with energy foods to keep him going. A little dusting too.

wavyHi everyone!!

Back from my vacation! Luckily I'm still on vacation from work so I can rest up after that vacation. Had a wonderful time but got up early every morning to get into the park to see wildlife, which we did. Bear, buffalo, moose and her two babies, ect. The most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. Anyone gets a chance to go to Yellowstone you should do it atleast once.

Well, glad to be back on here and see how everyone is doing. Can't go back and look at the logs right now cuz I am watching my 1 yr old nephew. He's darling but gets around!! Quickly too.

Hope everyone has a good day!!!!

Pamela~

Glad to hear you had a good vacation, Pamela. Sleep tight, Carol. Hi Tina, if you're still up. I had to work a little extra today. My dinner was in the crock pot and the fam was having salad and bread. All the chopping for the salad gave me a bit of a back ache but otherwise was a very easy dinner. I tried a new crock pot recipe and it kind of tastes like a type of chili. Quite tasty, actually. Now I'm just relaxing, I don't have to be in bed by a certain time and I don't have to wake up to an alarm tomorrow. I am determined to get my yard work done, though. I keep putting it off. If you see me here past 10am tomorrow, yell at me to get my butt outside, please.

Good morning. I tried going to bed early last night. But ended up in bed just before 11. And then up before my alarm.
I can feel and see the days shortening. It gets light later in the mornings and darkens earlier in the evenings than it did just a month ago. I am going to miss the long days.

I keep wanting to go for a bike ride after dinner and there isn't enough time before it starts to get dark. I didn't even realize how early it was getting dark until I looked up sunrise/sunset times. It's depressing me already to think that the long days are coming to an end.

I was able to break in my new weed whacker. I trimmed up all around our driveway and bushes, which was not easy considering how tall and the thick the weeds were growing out of the cracks. I also got the hedge trimmers out and tackled a bunch of ivy that was over growing and trying to suffocate one of my bushes. It actually looks quite decent out there. I stopped when my back got too achy. Did all the power tool stuff today, tomorrow will be the manual weeding day.

Way to go, Cheryl! I do a little most every day. And I change up the jobs I do in order not to seize up any one muscle group. But even 10 minutes in a spot makes a difference in both the yard and in my own sense of well-being.
I have not put in my 10 minutes today. I did pull two weeds while I was walking out to my car.

It was nice here today, didn't get to 90 like expected, but a nice breeze in the shade when I went out earlier for a few minutes. I had a lawn mower "mishap" and had to stay in the recliner all day.

That is great weather, Carol. Much like ours. It was 84* today and 57* for an overnight low. Humidity is bouncing between 30-40%. Breezy. Almost unheard of in August.
I got more weeds pulled this evening.
I also was telling my oldest daughter that I had to toss out my potatoes because they were old men. She asked what I meant and I told her. "Soft and wrinkled". She was in tears when we hung up the phone.
