I'm getting pretty sleepy. I went to the neighborhood picnic and got some lunch and a slight sunburn. Sheesh, I wasn't even out there that long. I did a little bit of shopping and a lot of loads of laundry, finished one book and am halfway through another already. I'd day today was a pretty good day. Tomorrow it's back to work.

It does sound like a good day, Cheryl.

Good morning.
Sundays for me is usually mostly getting ready for the week ahead. And today is a usual Sunday. Laundry and making sure lunches are ready to be packed. Maybe snipping nails and hair. Just getting ready. And going to McD's for Ted's usual Sunday dinner. I do like routine too. It is relaxing to know what is going to happen mostly.

I had an interesting start to work today. Had to drive to the VA hospital, in area of the city I've never been to. Thank goodness I have a gps to tell me how to get there. Got a little lost getting back out of the hospital though. We went out to dinner and then took the kids school shopping. They got almost everything they need. We still haven't found a compass anywhere and DH ordered graphing calculators online for the girls. Tomorrow I'm planning on getting up early for a short run. If I don't run in the morning then I lose my chance. I will not run in the heat ever again, learned that lesson this year. Everyone have a great night!

Good morning!
I have to go grocery shopping today...I am out of food. When I finally run out of milk I have to go...I can't live without milk.

The freaking neighbors across the road have kept me so confused for the past few weeks. They have been keeping their trash cans out by the curb, so every morning when I get up, get the coffee started, get Lola up, feed Spartacus...coffee is done and I set in the recliner while Lola eats on top of her cage. I look out the window and see their trash cans and I'm like "Holy [BLEEP]! It's Wednesday!" I have done this for almost two weeks...kinda like the movie "Groundhog Day".

That is funny, Cindy. I would also freak every day though.
I got Ted to school and shopped for some Home Depot hardware. I came home and put laundry on, gathered my trash for the dumpster. I fixed a sprinkler system that has been out of whack due to critter chewing for a while. My orange tree is going to be happy again. I repaired one kitchen cabinet so it will stay closed again and have two more to go.

I hope your dad can shake that soon, Cindy. It is nasty for anyone to get but particularly for elderly or people with health problems already.
I had a busy day. Ted has lived all of his life with kitchen cabinets that don't close properly. So now he is going in and kinking open the cabinets that I fixed the way they are 'supposed to be', leaving them open an inch or so. Some training is in order. He is so fun though. I love him.

Good morning.
I'm not sure life is ever really 'normal', is it, Carol? But I understand enjoying a routine too. I also like that.
My day will be fairly normal as well. Beginning with lots of coffee.

Hmmmmm Cindy it's Tues... I think... could be worse our trash company changed our day from Tues to Friday... it as been hard to get used to...LOL!

It's cloudy today and rained last nigth... really cool too... fall is peeking in here... did see a hot air ballon floating off in the east when I opened up the curtains... gotta be cold up there!

I need to make a batch of pancakes today and maybe some banana bread too..I spent yesterday cleaning up the family room, Joe took cooler out of window so washed them.. took down curtains and washed those too... dusted walls down and lemon oiled the furniture.. straighted up all the dvd's and tapes... need to get a few more covers for dvd's that have lost theirs... boys no doubt...
I have for dolls in here made of papermache .. they are very fragile and hard to dust- finally dawned on me to use my can of canned air to get the dust our of all the little folds... worked like magic... only took 5 yrs to think of it....LOL!

Well gotta go get started on stuff... no boys today so can get a lot done.

Interesting day today. I worked outside all afternoon. As soon as I opened the door to go out, Spartacus ran outside. He got out yesterday and it took almost 2 hours to catch him. rolz

So....here comes the neighbor's new dog that has been eating my outside cats food and generally bugs the cr@p out of me. When it saw Sparta it started to chase him and Sparta didn't run away...he ran straight for that dog and beat the [BLEEP] out of it. (Sparta's about 20lbs now, the dog is about 30lbs). So the dog starts running off and Spartacus ran after it and attacked it AGAIN! I don't think he would have backed down if it was a freakin pit bull.

Gonna have to make sure I lock him in the bathroom from now on when I open the door. egad

I will be heading to bed in another few minutes. I'm not sure why Wednesdays are so hard for me. I wake up with a feeling of "I don't wanna....." in the middle of the week.

Good Morning...

I am having my coffee & muffin & then will go to my MIL's to take care of some of her business stuff.

I finally had to make myself a list of things to take care of, so I would not forget to do them.

It rained her last night---I have no idea how much yet--but I did hear thunder a few times.

We have had plenty of thunder and lightning here but little rain. I would very much like some gentle rain to go with that. Less chances of wildfires.
I got lunches packed and some games packed up for Ted's classroom. He has breakfasted and dressed. And most everything is in the van ready to shuttle us down to town. Just marking time so we don't arrive too early. I have some shopping to do after I drop him off and then I am taking my older son to an appointment.
I get to go back and do much the same in reverse to collect everyone back home again later.

Good grief, you guys make me feel so lazy... lol
I did actually do something yesterday...mowed the yard, pulled some weeds and used a dull handsaw to try to cut a tree down...I'm going to finish that today, it wore me out and I had to stop.

Rachel just ordered her bone marrow donor registry pack...and she is very excited about it. I tried to register but it specifically lists Sjogren's Syndrome (auto-immune)and polycythemia (bone marrow/blood disorder)that prevent you from being eligible to be a donor. The more people that are on the donor lists means more people who may find a match.

Well...I might go lay in the chair while you guys are busy with your day... blush
...I've turned into such a lazy@ss.

You got plenty done yesterday, Cindy. You deserve a rest today.
I have been getting some things done today. I have about a half hour before heading out to pick up my boys. I am thinking that Ted will not be going to school on Friday. His school is near down town and that is where they hold the Route 66 Rendezvous. They are already setting up. It will be a zoo for traffic by Friday. So a day at home is sounding really good.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.
