OP twizzlestick Member Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 58 South Carolina	I jumped the gun and went straight to one of your forums to post. So I'm a little late with this. Nice to meet you all. I admit I'm a little weird with plant techniques and stuff that makes the experts scratch their heads because I'm willing to try new things. All in all it works out fine most of the time. I would love a Worsleya plant because I think that I could get it to grow at least twice as fast as everyone else. Well hello! Last edited by twizzlestick; Oct 18th, 2011 at 06:56 PM.

OP twizzlestick Member Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 58 South Carolina	Thanks for the kind welcome. Tina-Worsleya is a member of the Amaryllidaceae family. It is often blue/purplish. It is very rare and very expensive. They say it is slow growing and hard to work with. Personally I think it is the substrate people use but, I cannot say more because I'll probably never own one. :-) I think it would be like other similar species where people over think substrate instead of doing the basics like ph/minerals used. Basically use a richer soil with less of a hand in watering instead of trying to create rock/clay soils for the plants.
