I didn't know about Amazon and food either. But, after reading what you wrote I don't think I will try it. Thanks.

Happy Thursday. The storms missed us. But my DH said we did get 3/10 inch of rain last night, so at least we did get that.

We got 1/2 inch of rain last night with thunder and lightning. It was nice to hear the noise after all this time. Maybe we'll get more over the weekend.
Did I tell you my dermatology story? I won't tell it here again in case I already did.
My last Bible study for the year was today. We start back in September but for the life of me I can't remember which book we're going to study.

Yay for melting snow. Sunny. May the trend continue!!
Sheri...glad that at least you got the half inch. Like I said, we should take what we can get.
I do not remember about the terminology story. Could you look and see if you did or not ?
Today I went to the dermatologist. It is just a cyst..and unless it is infected or seepy she advised that I leave it alone. I looked at the Medicare site and they will not pay for its removal unless it is medically necessary...sucks to be me I guess...

That does suck about the cyst. Wonder how much it costs to have it removed. How big is it? Can you do it yourself?
My story is this: Recently I've found out that 4 people I know, one who went to school with Shelley, another way younger than me but not as young as Shelley, 2 close to my age, have had to have a melanoma removed. One was noticed on an ear by a primary care doctor when my friend was there for a yearly visit having nothing to do with his ear. His doctor told him to get it checked out - he did - it was melanoma - had it removed - then had to have plastic surgery. Another person's was on his ear. another person's was between the eyes, another person's was on her foot. I saw the freckle on her foot before her surgery and it was flat and looked just like a tiny, brown freckle. She goes for skin checks every year so they were able to get it all (the doc said) and she doesn't have to do any other type of treatment. It looked just like a freckle!!!!! Another friend went last week for a skin check and a spot on her chest was biopsied and she's waiting on the results - doctor said maybe squamous cell carcinoma.
So, this freaked me out a bit and I made an appointment and went to a dermatologist that is close by. My friends had told me that they had to put on a gown and everything was looked at so I was prepared. But it was if this doctor didn't want to touch me. Even when I pointed out a spot she barely looked at it and said "oh it's ok." She was in my room maybe 5 minutes. So I came home and made an appointment where my friend had gone and got a thorough exam. The difference was shocking. Now my thought is the first doctor could cause someone to die because she's not thorough and I'm not sure what I can do about it. I am certainly going to tell everyone I know not to go see her but otherwise there's nothing.
On another note: how to I nicely opt out of group text messages and not be seen as a horrible person. My Sunday school class has a group text that I thought would be for important information and I guess to the person texting it IS important but there are 20 of us and someone will text "please pray I find my dog. He dug under the fence last night." Then 19 people will respond with "praying" or "will do" or the praying hands emoji. Then she will post "he came home on his own." And 19 people will post a smilie face, or "thank you Jesus" or "I know you're happy" or "be sure to fill up the hole." And on and on.
Now, yesterday one of the people in my Bible study said she'd gotten everyone's information (I was out last week) in case we decide to meet as a group for lunch during the summer or if we want to meet once in a while to discuss a few Bible verses, so I gave her my info. I'd like to meet once in a while. But this morning, this person who took everyones info and asked for my info text about her husbands doctor appointment this morning and of course everyone responded. And then texted about Homeland Security being funded again and everyone responded.
I don't want to be mean or heartless but I don't want to get all these texts. I'm sorry that people have issues and I have no problem with them texting that but why does every person have to respond especially when they having nothing to say except and emoji?

Talk to one of your DD' s on how to opt out..then if anyone.notices say oh my phone.kept going off on day when I was in a meeting guess I hit the wrong.button.. Then tell everyone concerned when it comes up that you do not want to be in a group chat any more. There has to be a way. I just am not computer savvy enough to know how to do that. Sorry.
I cannot remove this cyst myself, it is on top of my head. Plus when I do have it removed I want it biopsied. I don't want to find out later that I should have had it removed and checked on.
And yes that was a lot but I understand. That is just why I am SO picky about my Drs.

Jeepers, Bestofour....please do tell your story on the difference with the two doctors.
Personally, I'd do like Junie said, just remove yourself from the group text. If anyone asks....glitches happen. I gave up Facebook many, many years ago because of such issues.

You said a mouthful, Sunny I am in a few "messes" because I did not really concern myself with which Dr. I went to. Convince was my priority back in the day. My DD goes to a who she says is a good Demonologist, but the one I went to is one my primary care Dr. goes to, so we will see.

I've been to a dermatologist once, for psoriasis....the cream she gave me burned my skin. I never went back.

I am sorry to hear that, Sunny. Sad for me is my eczema is back today. I could not have an outbreak 2 days ago, so I could tell the lady about it ? I did tell her about it. But I said my OTC cream took care of it. Well it does but it just keeps coming back and with it being behind my knee the cream often gets easily rubbed off. Such is my life.
Good morning !!

Junie hope you can get medicine for your eczema. It can be so painful.
We got a bit more rain today so yippee for me. It's 55° which feels cold but it's better than the 90's from the other week.
I overwintered a fuchsia hanging basket that Aubry gave me last year for my birthday, hung it outside the other day, and a stupid squirrel for some reason climbed up the pole I have it hanging on and chewed up the plant. I saw him, from the bathroom window, sitting in the pot, but he had already ruined it by the time I ran out there. I hate squirrels.

I use an OTC cream. In a few days it will be go e. But thanks. I too hate squirrels. Here a few hears ago they ate every flower & greenery that I had in a large p!anger in front. I had beautiful sweet potato vibes es..and then flowers. The bigger ate.them.all. Then this year a squirrel dog on my pot of flower seed. I guess looking for it's buried nuts. THEN in the back one dug in one side of one of my large flower pots ( one with seeds),.........It seems I cannot win for losing. They dig in my seed pots, and eat my flowers...great In good news Every year I put out a hanging pot with artificial greenery in it. And every year I get a pair of birds that make a nest in it.....or 2 This year I finally saw one of the pair full on. I think they are a pair of house finches. That makes me happy.

Well, I can plant potatoes at the end of the month. A week later I can plant carrots and onions...everything else has to wait until after the full moon in June, we get heavy frost until then. I still have to cover plants now and then even after that. Either way...I can't wait.🤣 Tomorrow I'll have the chance to finish my raking, it is going to be the only dry day for the coming week.

potatoes are always early. I should make myself plant them earlier than I do. I don't know about here but at home ( mid-illinois we were supposed to plant on St. Patricks day. I think I did so about once. But hey I still got a picnic table full of potatoes each year. They usually lasted until after the new year. I hope I get a lot more this year than I did last. But whatever it is nice to at least get some. My dad would dig up a hill or 2 of his so mom could make a meal with tiny potatoes. And since they were the first new potatoes we had each year they always tasted so good....As I have said, your time will come, and it will be so much fun. I cannot wait for you. It is supposed to storm overnight tonight. With rain. I was going to water this morning, perhaps I will wait. But I think I will pull my potted lilac bush out to the end of the porch so it will get watered.

I am pretty sure they are house finches. But since I get those and purple finches mixed up I cannot be positive. But one of the 2 anyway.
ALSO, this is like the 3rd year they have been here "using" my hanging basket. I am thrilled. OR at least, this is the 3 rd year I have had "renters' in my hanging basket.
We used to have a robin that built her nest on our yard light that I could see just out of our kitchen window. BUT in the second setting of the second year. A hawk came and dive bombed the nest. It and the babies and the mom were destroyed. NO ONE has been there to try since.

We are getting a severe rain storm, I'm glad it's not cold enough for it to be snow. 🤣
I divided and moved perennials yesterday, I'll not have to worry about watering anything...that's for sure.

I hear that. We just came back from Wal-Mart. I thought I needed a few things, well $250.00 later we were done. The sad part ?? There is still quite a bit of things left to get on my grocery list. AND me who dies not lime generic things, have begun buying just that.
And oh, good morning.

Yea, Rod lives kettle cooked chips....I told him he could go get himself some...he came back with some Wal-Mart brand of plain chips..he said he was not paying twice as much for half as many chips. I guess it is good to take him all go grocery shopping after all.

He gets the $1.37 Wal-Mart brand whether he likes it or not.😉

Me to on the Kettle chips and I too have switched to a generic brand.
We've had a bit of rain lately and it's raining again right. Yippee.
A friend had a black snake invade a bird nest in her yard today. Nature.

I usually buy the brand name when they are on Sale..But otherwise I too buy generic chips...And in all honesty I mostly eat popcorn that I pop myself..not Microwave in bags.
It drizzled again this morning. Yesterday we got an inch in all. It is supposed to rain again Friday night and then some thru the weekend. We will see if that happens or not.

We got 1-1/4 of rain during the night and it's still raining off and on. We could use rain every other day for several months to get us up to a decent level. I'm trying to motivate myself to go to the gym. I haven't been for 2 days. I'll be happy if I can get there because it does make me feel better. Tomorrow I have to be at Aubry's school at 8:15. In retirement I've gotten lazy and don't want to get up early anymore, but I'll do it for her.

Bestofour, that's not lazy....that is well deserved.😘
I am so glad I raked the lawn last week, it is a wet, boggy mess this week.

Sheri:Sunny is right, and I agree. It is not lazy to want to sleep longer in the mornings. Also, we change as we age. When I was a sweet young thing, I was a morning person, but now not so much. I often sleep until 9 am. And yes. I can wake up a lot earlier if there is a reason, but otherwise I sleep until I wake up naturally. Sunny: Once again I say yay for raked yards. Come on spring.

Good morning. The sun is shining, it had been hiding all week. I think I'll find something to do to keep me outside all afternoon.😁

Have either of you read Remarkably Bright Creatures? It's a great book and now it's a movie on Netflix staring Sally Fields which is good too.
