That first picture is good..
I like the color and the layout of it...
And it looks like alot of FUN!!

You need a lil'somethin', mushrooms or something whimical to it..
Or a gnome door on the base of the tree...

I have no idea what kind of tree that is dodge. Only that's it's kind of prickly like a fir tree. It's been that small since we moved in and that was over 4 years ago. I don't think it's getting any bigger. I love coming home from work and seeing a little more and color and little changes everyday. Even my b/f says it's looking really nice out there and he really likes it.

I hope you don't mind - I had to save that top picture as my background for my computer! I want spring to be here too! Still snow in the trees and lots of rain - but I'm not complaining, we need the rain after a dry winter and a drought last summer, anyway - I love those pictures!

Question - I feel like the kid in The Sandlot who pretends he knows who Babe Ruth is, but doesn't ~ what is the significance of the little old men in gardens? Do you call them Willy's? You know - those troll guys. I've never had any of those statues - are they suppose to be significant for something? Like - maybe I should have one for luck? :)

You know - I don't plant many spring bulbs, because they don't last very long - but after seeing pictures like this - it's on my to-do list this fall! I can still plant iris' right? They have them at Walmart right now - will they bloom this year?

I have summer bulbs in there also so that when these ones start to go away I should have a new and different garden coming up for summer time. I've never had garden gnomes until I joined this forum. Got my first one in the fall gift swap. I'm not sure of their significance other than luck? I think they're cute though and when I went to the garden show I couldn't help buying a couple more. I thought my one was lonely, now he has friends. LOL. And no I don't mind at all that you saved my pic to your desktop. I'm kind of touched. And I'm really thankful that I live in a city that gets spring early.

Dodge - I'm waiting still - nothing coming up here yet - snow is still melting. Blah! Last week we had a beautiful day close to 60 and I was outside - chopping ice and moving snow, trying to move things along, but now it's cold and rainy with sleet in the forcast. My seedlings are getting way too big! I must have started them too soon, even though I followed the directions!

I just love these pictures! VERY PRETTY! I'd frame them!

Patty: Do you mean the Garden Gnombs??? (can I spell??) I will have to research the significance---esp since I have painted 7 or 8 for my son-in-law--he thought it would be fun to leave them in his friends yards--I'll let you know what I find out.

the significance of the gnomes is that bill, the original gardenhelper, has a friend "willy, the garden gnome" who helped him with his gardens. if you got on the other site much, or click some of the links, you will see the cedar hill gardens that are awesome!

and we have a "willy's stuff" store right here were you can buy garden helper stuff... it's an awesome thing!

(and yes, they are lucky little critters!)
