Hello,
my name is Lynette and I am from north eastern Indiana....just south of Ft. Wayne.....and just west of Van Wert, Ohio, so I am right on the border.......My husband and I(with help from our 4 grandsons) raise and show a herd of 40+ dairy goats...we also raise llamas and boer goats...but due to time constraint, we do not show the llamas or boers....And of course, the reason I am here....I have an addiction to anyplace that sells, flowers, mulch, etc....LOL...Ilove working in my flower beds around the house....but Ido not know all the names of the flowers...I keep the little tags, that come with the flowers, so I can go look up names when I forget....My favorite is tropicals, palms, ferns, etc...but I sure am in the wrong zone(6) for that...LOL....anyway, look forward to getting to know you all.
thanks for listening.

I'm WAY down at the other end, about 70 miles south of Lexington. Only time I go to Louisville is if I take Lola (parrot) to her doctor there. She was born (hatched, rather!) in Indiana, right across the bridge from Louisville (Floyd's Knob, or something like that).

Hello Lynette and welcome. I haven't gotten my goats yet - but it is only a matter of time. What breed of dairy do you have? Are you crossing them with the boers? Not to push another board here - but are you active on the boer board on Yahoo - or the other goat boards?

Are you also raising some of your own feed? That is one thing that I am still working with my land towards - that and getting a lot more shade on it prior to getting the goats. I'm looking at the boers for meat and La Manchas for milk.

Welcome to this board - its a great board for garden info.

Jon
