Hello,

It is so nice to finally find a site (forum based) that actually helps with the environment and is soo full of information. One that you can actually get feedback from. Cuz my plants sure as hell ain't speakin!

For me, PC Repair is a piece of cake compared to plant care...unreal.

I have went through three batches of house plants ( approx. 8 ) = ea. batch. Yeah, you do the math...24 plants, yes 24! Only 3 original plants ( 3rd batch ) are alive to this day, and 4 other starter (root) plants from my neighbor.

Through "trial and error", as my neighbor would say...I've narrowed down the basic past errors on my end...>

*no-no pots - ones that don't allow water outage
*overwatering - was watering three X a week
*sunlight - either not enough, or direct sunlight
*soil - was using chicken-soil base LOL

Now that I've managed to correct the above errors, I am now having a problem with plant bugs!

***NOTE*** BUGS are my most feared aquaintance!

I have no clue what bug it is, all I know is...as if it ain't bad enough they're infecting my plants, they are all around my apt., flying around

OK, now that you have my history with nurturing plants could I please get some feedback?

Sounds like you've come to the right place!
I have learned so much here. There seems to be someone here for any problem you might have.

Post that bug question in the "HOUSEPLANT" forum, with a description of the bugs and someone will jump right on it!

Welcome to the site & good luck with your future plant endevours! I've killed lots of things, myself, so I'm not much help but, I'm still learning & you will learn a lot here!

Thank you Cindy and Sami for the warm welcome. I will surely be visiting this forum quite often, as I am still new and uninforomed to all this horticulture stuff.

BTW, someone asked if I had a name to go by, other than my site sn. I sure do...

Welcome to the forum!! Every plant has its different needs. As for watering, some plants like to be kept dry, and some like to be kept wet. Some also like to be soaked all the way through, and then allowed to dry.

here, you'll learn the difference in uses for clay pots vs. plastic pots Claypots evaporate water faster, whereas plastic will hold in more water. I keep all my cactus and succulent plants in clay pots ^.^

Thank you Nako, for the info. It makes sense that all plants have their own needs, I jus don't know what they are....LOL. Maybe I should stick to one or two certain types, till I get those down...then move on to more.

Also, I didn't realize the importance of different pots...clay vs. plastic, though it makes perfect sense too. I have only one clay pot, the rest are plastic...not too much of a puzzle there.

I'm jus glad I found a place where I can get questions answered!
