Hi, swin!
Welcome to the forum!
The area of the island that I live on is most likely the last of a rural like setting in all of NY City . There has been no developing in this area for the last 25 or so years .
You are so blessed!
I used to live in a little hick town here in Kentucky...now it's HUGE! :p They just keep building and building and BUILDING...doctor's offices, and lawyer's offices, and more people keep moving here so they have to build more gas stations and stores...and in the process they tear down the old farm houses and log cabins that used to be everywhere, and build subdivisions and golf courses, and motels and roads. I wish they would build some liquor stores.
Well...looks like I got off topic a little bit here.
I sorta have a problem with that. My fingers just keep going and by the time my brain catches up and tells me to shut up, I've typed half a page.
So, I'll just stop now and say "Nice to meet you!"
Cindy
P.S.
We are a very friendly bunch here, and have a lot of fun. Most of the members here know a lot about gardening (not me). Please hang out with us and get to know us! (The rest of them are sane, I promise you.)
