Bogged Down in the Blues

Sometimes the sorrows engulf me--
And I don't even understand why;
I just want to curl up in the darkness,
Or fall down in some corner and cry.
My sense of self worth hits rock bottom--
No words can describe how I feel;
The wounds that I carry are invisible,
But the pain that I feel is still real.
Please try not to judge me too harshly,
Or I'll drown in this bog of despair;
As I grope for a way through the shadows,
I need to know someone is there.
