Me too Cindy... I wanna see! ![[Linked Image]](http://photobucket.com/albums/a201/PattySpencer/SmileyHiya.gif) I change mine pretty often, when I have a pic that's worth putting up. Right now I have this 1 up....... Mr. Bill & Shelly - 7-16-06 ... along with all those stupid shortcuts that I can't move (again)! I usually arrange them on different parts of my screen, according to how often I use them & so they aren't obscuring the pics. Something is haywire though, cuz no matter how much I click off "auto arrange", they snap back to where they were, when I try to move them.

Here's mine-- It was taken at a park in TableRock, South Carolina(6/20/06) ![[Linked Image]](http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/pcgrav/1TableRock.jpg) P.S. Something is haywire though, cuz no matter how much I click off "auto arrange", they snap back to where they were, when I try to move them. ---did you deselect "align to grid"?

AngelB. Love the pink!
Amigatec......what can I say, yours needs some sprucing up! I like penguins tho'. The Penguin is called Tux he is the mascot for Linux. I'm not much into wallpaper, I figure the more stuff you run the more there is to mess up.

nope. that flower is on an Epiphyllum Oxypetalum. Cricket sent me a clipping off her plant a few months ago and i sprouted it. it is doing very well, but will be a few more years before its big enough to bloom. i just have it on my desktop until i get to see the real thing.

My current one is graduation caps flying through the air, the windows one is a panda for our very own Amanda Panda, and the screen saver is amusing quotes from our children or their friends. Left to my own devices I would just have a solid color but our personal Panda won't stand for it. I'm too easily distracted by the pic......

Patty, after you move your Desktop icons, Right click somewhere on the Desktop and select Active Desktop\Lock Desktop Items. That should keep the icons where you want them. When I want to have a "clean" look to the Desktop for viewing pretty wallpaper, I go to the Active Desktop options and uncheck Show Desktop Icons. When I need to see the icons, I just go back and check Show Desktop Icons. That may sound tedious but it's only two clicks to a pretty Desktop. This is my current wallpaper...this years Crinum Lilies. flowers%20and%20Plants/fd7c8697.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>

Loz how did you get a picture of my garden for your wallpper? (tee-hee, yeah right!) Christina I love both of yours! The Christmas one is funny! pcgrav, oooh pretty. Is that near where you live or a vacation shot? Poppy petal, yay you put up a picture. I love southpark. Thorny, sounds like you have the same gypsy blood I do. Change, change. I actually get closterphobicish if I walk in a room I havent rearrange furniture or nick nacks or something in for a long time. Amigatec, Good point. thats why I dont change my desktop wallpaper much, Bessy is too tempermental. Vixen actually got put on there by clicking 1 line off. Oops. But shes so sweet I left her there. Pretty lillies Rosie! Cindy, What IS the other picture? And I too want to know if it is one and the sam as the one of Bill.

Its one I took when we went on vacation this year to see my husbands parents-- we took a "day-trip" one day and went to a place called TableRock,(South Carolina)-- by-the-way-- if anyone ever gets to the area to visit there is a fantastic place called Aunt Sue's Restaurant that I fell in love with-- its a restaurant and a series of gift shops built kinda like a bunch of old log cabins.

Ever since I got my first computer when Maxi was still small, I've been drawing pictures for him with the Paint program. I use those for our wallpaper. We have one called Outer Space and it is very detailed and he likes it alot! We have one of Superman flying through the air. We have one of a big country scene with a cottage, a barn, gardens, fruit trees, a pond with me in a boat and Maxi fishing on the shore. I find creating detailed pictures with the Paint program very soothing. And the kid likes the results, so we have wallpaper! I tend to use "mystify the mind" as my screen saver. Merme

[/b] Rosie, Windows 98 doesn't have the "lock web items on Desktop" option. You can only have "auto arrange" checked or unchecked, or have "IT" set them in order by name, type, size or date. Right now, mine snap back to where "IT" wants them, whether I have "auto arrange" checked or not... need to pull some heavier than usual maintenence to straighten that out (in my spare time!) I don't mind clicking, but 98 also doesn't have the show/hide desktop items option. You can only "view as web page", or not. Love your Crinum Lilies, BTW! (If you get any seed pods from them this year, please let me know... I'd love to have some of those seeds for my Lily garden!)
