hi everyone,

im a 27 yr old female from maine- i found this site just browsing plant info on 'askjeeves' i joined because i have over 50 houseplants but dont know much about them! -luckily i must be doing SOMETHING right cuz they are all alive and well! i live in the city and have a small veggie garden that im trying to get growing and hopefully harvest!

ever since i was a girl i always loved plants and animals. i love getting nearly dead houseplants other people are ready to toss and bringing them back to life!

My pets are my kids: i have a 14 yr old persian cat named Omar (aka- Cuckapoopoodoodoo man- Poodoo for short) that i keep shaved and three dogs: Otis a 10 yr old dalmatian, Rosa a 1yr old Pitbull and Jadah-Meri(Jade) a 6 month old heinz 57 that i rescently rescued (along with her 2 siblings) from a high kill shelter in OH -where they were severely neglected, malnurished and scheduled to be euthanised. oh, yes, and i have a husband! whom luckily loves pets too- but covientiently leaves all the work to me! he's alot harder to train than the dogs!
also have a chicken named Bunny. i rescued her off of a chicken truck before she was confined to the cruel life of a battery caged egg farm hen.

so- thats a bit about me, always rescuing new plants...always looking for ways to rejouvenate them and hoping to learn alot from everyone hear and maybe make some friends. smile

You'll fit in nicely, there's a bunch of here that can relate very much so to that statement..

Welcome aboard, glad you found us...
Pull up a chair and jump right on in...

And a bunch of us have animals and are madly in love with them, and are their children just about..
*that chicken sounds sweet..*

Well, take a good long peak around, at all the sections we have here, there's lot's to do here, to keep you busy, thru every season, especially thru those very long, cold, blustery winters...
