Having a mild fall, I left my Dracaena marginata's outside. I was pretty good at bringing them in for the evening. I left them out one night and it frosted pretty bad. This has been about a month ago. Since then all the leaves have fallen off, and the stalks have shriveled. I cut the stalks down to the soil level. I dumped them out the other day and the roots still appear to be alive. Will they slowly die or is there a chance that they will send up new shoots. This has really bothered me since it happened. Should I keep them wet or feed? Thanks

Hang on to the plant. I wouldn't fertilize it now. Do whatever you normally would do. Just make sure it doesn't get "cold" again. If the roots look alright, you probably have not lost it. Good Luck!!!!!

if it was only bitten one night, and the roots are healthy, it'll come back, just don't fertilize it for now. patience is the key...
