Okay, I have a plant that likes moisture but not too wet, and I'm not supposed to let it dry out completely keep moist at all times. When I test the soil in my hand, if it feels dry but when I squeeze it water comes out, does that mean moist or too wet? Okay thanks.

>.< ooooooooooo don't squeez the soil if there's roots in there. You could damage them. I always go by the rule: If the top inch of soil feels dry, then go ahead and water it.

If you have succulents *jades, some cactus, black rose, etc.* then you wana wait till the soil Looks dry before you water it.

LOL! No, I stick my hand in and pick up a little of the dirt put it into my hand and when I squeeze it between my fingers water comes out. But it feels dry until I squeeze it, does that mean moist or too wet? :)I have a Schefflera arboricola, umbrella plant.
