Email from Howard:

I planted 2 lilies early this past spring and they have blossomed beautifully...
Now with winter coming on, do I cut them back, or leave them alone. ??
They are about 4 feet tall and I'm not sure what to do... Please help !!!
Thanks,
Howard

Wait until your lilies have all turned yellow/brown before cutting back. The bulb uses the greens to store food for next year's production. Different lilies seem vary the length of time the leaves and stalks turn brown after blooming - I had some die down a couple of months ago and others, such as calla lilies, are still green. My Asiatic lilies are just beginning to turn brown. Good luck with next year's blooms!
