Hi everyone,
if I a m growing tomatos in my greenhouse do I need to allow insects in to pollinate the yellow flowers?

Insects have very little to do with tomato pollination, although some greenhouses actually use captive bumblebees as they theoretically induce pollination when they buzz, shaking the plants own pollen onto the stamens. Tomatoes pollinate themselves for the most part, and plant-to-plant pollination is sometimes carried out by sweat bees in particular.

Peppereater is right.

I planted cherry tomatoes in my greenhouse and they are growing in abundance.

The only thing I have made a habit of is as soon as they started to bloom I would go thro' the plants with my hands as if searching for tomatoes (one of the reasons I did this was I love the smell these plants give off when touched).

But now I have lots of tomatoes growing and more ripening everyday.

I do not have any bees in my greenhouse for I have been pollinating my squash and zucchini that I planted in my greenhouse by hand. This works for I'm getting fruit.
