I just had to take some pictures of these garden friends while I was collecting seeds a little while ago.

Nice pics, Lynne!

What is that bottom flower?
That's so pretty!

...and by the way...what do you call that color of those flowers? I have a butterfly bush the same color, and I was trying to describe it to someone, and couldn't think of what the color was called. nutz shocked

The top and bottom flowers are autumn joy sedums - same plant, bad camera, Cindy.

Not sure about the color name - it's sorta between a pink and a salmon, isn't it?

Actually, Lynne, in the top picture the flower looks very pink to me, rather than salmon! wink

The top butterfly is a red admiral, and I've never had one of those here, although they should definitely be seen up here! Your pictures are so beautiful thumbup

Thanks all!

Patti - those pictures were taken with my old camera - haven't had time for the new one yet.
But that's why I wanted a new one - same plant and the colors came out so very differently!!!

The real color is more like the bottom picture on that particular sedum, though I do have others that are more pink like the top picture. perpl

The color that comes closest (on my screen, anyway) is fuchsia.
