help! i am being attacked by aphids. is there a natural way to get rid of these nasties? also, my dianthus seems to be getting mouldy. it has a white powdery substance on the leaves. don't call the FBI!

Hi and welcome. Aphids are easily controlled with an all natural insecticidal soap spray. The powdery mildew problem is usually weather related with wet, rainy, humid conditions. It can't be reversed but the plants will most likely continue to grow fine. It is easily prevented with regular spraying of very mild fungicides and some natural concoctions made with baking soda or milk.

i had a ton of aphids but the native beneficials moved in and took care of them, like lacewings, beneficial wasps and hover flies. Make sure you inspect for these good guys before you treat.

I had aphids for a while,but they suddenly disappeared. I think the all in 1 rose care chemical finally kicked in.
