Hi,
Just abit of advice needed.

I have a 2 year old (jubilee/st Julien A) Plum thats been in the ground since last March.

It grew very poorly over the year and put on probably only an inch or so of new wood.

Should I prune it?

Anything else i can do for it over winter (other than cross my fingers)

It hasnt shown any obvoius signs of disease other than failure to thrive.

hey gas,I would wait and see if it grows very much this year. probly wouldnt hurt to put a dab of fertize on it in the spring.seems like alot of times with trees ....the1st year they sleep the 2nd yr they creep and the 3rd yr. leap sometimes people plant trees alittle too deep. always leave where it was grafted/budded above ground.

Much as I thought, but wasnt sure if a bit of pruning might stimulate growth next season.

Shes not in too deep, but im worried the soil is water logging as very heavy soil (I doubledug the site and added compost and sand)
