Creeping Charlie,Jenny, and ground ivy are all the same thing, it just depends on what part of the country you come from. When I first move out here to Cheeseland from NY, everyone was talking about creeping charile and I had no clue as to what it was.
It will die from
weed be Gone or any other 2 4 d product, but if you don't get it when it 1st comes out in the
spring, you may want to wait until after a couple of frosts and then hit it.
The frost will weaken the
plant and allow the herbicide to do its work.
Another good time to hit it is within a half hour before a big summer thunderstorm, after week or so of no rain. The
plant will sense the incoming storm by the drop in air pressure and the leaves pores will open up to absorb the incoming rainfall. Timing is tricky, but you can take out some harder to kill
weeds such as ground ivy and violets that way.
