For years I have grown various vegetables but have never had luck with squash. Oh I've grown lots and lots of squash to eat but they invariably die young because of powdery mildew or some sort of fungus disease. I have used chemicals, organics, old wives tales and I still get the darn stuff. I know not to overhead water and plant in the same place over and over. It just seems so persistent. What else have you guys used for this problem? Duh

Mulching helps too as the fungus spores are on the surface of the soil. When it rains the spores get splashed up onto the plant. Mulching helps reduce this.
