sleepless Junior Member Joined: Aug 2006 Seattle	I would like to move some daisies back a few feet in the garden. Is early fall the right time to move them? They are super happy and rather prolific this year. Are moving and dividing them too much stress? I've dead headed them, but should they be cut back more? Any advice is appreciated.

alankhart Member A Joined: Aug 2002 Knoxville, TN	You should definitely wait until cooler weather before you move them. You'll want to give them at least 6 weeks to adjust to their new location before frost. When mine have completely finished blooming, I cut all the stems back to the ground and allow the new basal foliage to grow.

patches1414 Member Joined: Feb 2006 Illinois	I've moved my Shasta Daisies in both the spring and in the fall and really haven't found one time to be better than another. They are pretty tough plants and easy to move without any trouble.
