so i was pulling up moss today by hand and got frustrated. i must have pulled up 2 bucketfuls and looks like i got nowhere. anyhow so i was thinking if we treat the moss with moss control stuff http://www.scotts.com/index.cfm/eve...umentId/ec9744dad26fa9e177a82424162ad647 can i still use the grass clippings in the compost? i think the active ingredient is iron- at least that's what's listed.

I reckon you could still use the clippings. Iron's no big deal. Does iron kill moss? That's interesting. Basically it appears to be a chemical fertiliser, very high in nitrogen with iron added. Iron makes grass look really green. It can actually get so green it goes blackish if you give it too much. So if you don't mind the chem fert then i'd say go for it.
